ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 29ರಂದು ವಿಶ್ವ ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವವಾಯು ದಿನವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಸೂಕ್ತ ಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ದೊರೆತರೆ ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವವಾಯುವಿಗೆ ತುತ್ತಾದವರು ಬದುಕುಳಿಯುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎನ್ನುವ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಜನರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲು World Stroke Day ಆಚರಿಸಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿದೆ.

ಸೈಲೆಂಟ್ ಸ್ಟ್ರೋಕ್‌ನ ರೋಗ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು

ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಿಲ್ಲದ ರೋಗಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು (Symptoms) ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವವಾಯು (Stroke) ಕೆಲವೊಮ್ಮೆ ಮೆದುಳು ಮತ್ತು ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆಯಾಗಿ ದೇಹ (Body)ವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಹಾನಿ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು. ಹೀಗಾಗುವುದರಿಂದ ಜನರು ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವವಾಯುವಿಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವವಾಯು ತಡೆಗಟ್ಟುವಿಕೆಗಾಗಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ (Treatment) ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನೋವು ಮತ್ತು ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥತೆಯ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಚಿಹ್ನೆಗಳಿರುವ ಹೃದಯಾಘಾತದ (Heart attack) ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಭಿನ್ನವಾಗಿ ಸೈಲೆಂಟ್ ಸ್ಟ್ರೋಕ್ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು. ಸೈಲೆಂಟ್ ಸ್ಟ್ರೋಕ್‌ನ ರೋಗ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಹೀಗಿವೆ.

ಸ್ಟ್ರೋಕ್ ತಡೆಗಟ್ಟುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ ?

ಸೈಲೆಂಟ್ ಸ್ಟ್ರೋಕ್ ಗುರುತಿಸಲು ಕಷ್ಟವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ಪ್ರಭಾವಿತವಾಗಿರುವ ಮೆದುಳಿನ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಇನ್ನೂ ಕಷ್ಟ. ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವವಾಯು ಸಂಭವಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ತಡೆಯಲು ನೀವು ಮಾಡಬಹುದಾದ ಕೆಲವು ವಿಷಯಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲಿವೆ:

ರಕ್ತದೊತ್ತಡ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಿ: ಅಧಿಕ ರಕ್ತದೊತ್ತಡವು ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವವಾಯು ಅಪಾಯವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.

ವ್ಯಾಯಾಮ: ನಿಯಮಿತ ವ್ಯಾಯಾಮ (Exercise) ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವವಾಯು ಬರುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಶೇಕಡಾ 40ರಷ್ಟು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ವೈದ್ಯರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ 30-45 ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಮತ್ತು ಮಧ್ಯಮ-ತೀವ್ರತೆಯ ವ್ಯಾಯಾಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಮುಖ್ಯ.

ಉಪ್ಪು ಸೇವನೆ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಿ: ಅಮೇರಿಕನ್ ಸ್ಟ್ರೋಕ್ ಅಸೋಸಿಯೇಷನ್ ​​ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಉಪ್ಪು ಸೇವನೆಯು ಹೃದಯಾಘಾತ ಮತ್ತು ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವವಾಯು ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಸೋಡಿಯಂ ಸೇವನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಕಡಿಮೆ ಕೊಲೆಸ್ಟ್ರಾಲ್ ಮಟ್ಟಗಳು: ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವವಾಯು ಅಪಾಯವನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಲು, ಕೊಲೆಸ್ಟ್ರಾಲ್ ಮಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಿ. ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ತಜ್ಞರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಉತ್ತಮ ಕೊಲೆಸ್ಟ್ರಾಲ್ ಆದರ್ಶಪ್ರಾಯವಾಗಿ 60 mg/dL ಅಥವಾ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ನಿಮ್ಮ LDL (ಕೆಟ್ಟ) ಕೊಲೆಸ್ಟ್ರಾಲ್ 100 mg/dL ಗಿಂತ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಿರಬೇಕು.

ಧೂಮಪಾನವನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ: ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವವಾಯು ಅಪಾಯವನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡಲು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಧೂಮಪಾನದ (Smoking) ಅಭ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಕಡಿತಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕು.

ಸಮತೋಲಿತ ಆಹಾರ ಸೇವಿಸಿ: ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯದ ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಧಾನ್ಯಗಳು (Grains) ಮತ್ತು ಮಾಂಸದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ತಾಜಾ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಲೋಚಿತ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ತರಕಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಿ. ಇದು ಆರೋಗ್ಯವನ್ನು ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿಡುತ್ತದೆ.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS

Signs are what a doctor sees,
symptoms are what you experience.

Did you know that 90 - 95% of a doctor's diagnosis will come from what you say? Yep! If you do not give the doctor all of your symptoms and history then you are asking him or her to diagnose you based on insufficient information. Whenever you go to the doctor, he or she will take a patient history using a mneumonic called, "OPPQRST." Every doctor on the planet follows this mneumonic. This translates into: Objective, Palliative, Provocative, Quality, Radiating, Subjective and Timing.

• ONSET: When did it start?
  
• PALLIATIVE: What relieves your symptoms?
  
• PROVOCATIVE: What provokes your symptoms?
  
• QUALITY: How would you describe the symptoms? Sharp? stabbing?, sore? uncomfortable? nausea? achy? throbbing? ripping? tearing?
  
• RADIATING: Do the symptoms or pain radiate to another area of your body?
  
• SEVERITY: On a scale of 1 - 10, how would you rate your pain or discomfort?
  
• TIMING: How often do the symptoms occur?
  

Typically with chest pain, the additional LMN are added to the mneumonic which means: Last, Movement and Notable Symptoms.

• LAST: When was the last episode?
  
• MOVEMENT: What activities could you do before you first felt chest pain and what activities can you do now?
  
• NOTABLE SYMPTOMS: What other symptoms do you have with your chest pain?
  

Here are just a few things that will automatically pop into a doctor's head when you give the following symptoms. The doctor will then perform various orthopedic, laboratory or imaging tests on you to confirm or deny his or her suspicions: Please keep in mind there are many other conditions, diseases, syndromes and illnesses that your doctor may be thinking depending on what you stated in your patient history.

• ABDOMINAL PAIN: - may be indicative of appendicitis, food allergies, food poisoning, gastro-intestinal disorders, hiatal hernia or pre-menstrual syndrome.
  
• ABNORMAL VAGINAL DISCHARGE: - may be indicative of yeast infection (candidiasis), chlamydia, genital herpes, gonorrhea or trichomoniasis.
  
• BACKACHE: - may be indicative of back strain, DJD (degenerative disc disease), lack of exercise, obesity, female disorders, spinal injury or pancreatic disorders.
  
• BLOOD IN THE URINE, STOOL, VOMIT, VAGINA OR PENIS: - may be indicative hemorrhoids, infections, polyps, bowel tumors, ulcers, cancer of the kidneys, colon or bladder.
  
• DIFFICULTY SWALLOWING: - may be indicative of emotional stress, hiatal hernia, cancer of the esophagus.
  
• EXCESSIVE SWEATING: - may be indicative of thyroid disorder, menopause, stress, food allergies, fever, infection or Hodgkin's disease.
  
• FREQUENT URINATION: - may be indicative of bladder infection, a diuretic effect, excessively taking in liquid, not emptying the bladder in a timely fashion or cancer.
  
• INDIGESTION: - may be indicative of poor diet, lack of enzymes such as HCL (hydrochloric acid), gallbladder dysfunction, heart disease, acidosis, alkalosis, allergies, stress, adrenal, liver or pancreatic disorders.
  
• PERSISTANT COUGH: - may be indicative of lung disorders, pneumonia, emphysema, bronchitis, influenza, food allergies or cancer.
  
• PERSISTANT FEVER: - may be indicative of influenza, mononucleosis, rheumatic disorders, bronchitis, colds, meningitis, diabetes or chronic infection.
  
• PERSISTANT HEADACHE: - may be indicative of migraines, eyestrain, need for glasses, allergies, asthma, drugs, glaucoma, high blood pressure, brain tumor, vitamin deficiencies, sinusitis or stress due to personal Life experiences.
  
• RASH WITH BLISTERS: - may be indicative of Herpes Zoster or Shingles.
  
• SUDDEN WEIGHT GAIN: - may be indicative of over-eating, lack of exercise,thyroid condition (underactive) or edema.
  
• SUDDEN WEIGHT LOSS (UNEXPLAINED): - may be indicative of cancer, diabetes, thyroid condition (overactive), hepatitis, mononucleosis, parasites, infection or malabsorption syndrome.
  
• SWELLING IN THE APPENDAGES OR ABDOMEN: - may be indicative of edema, heart condition, kidney dysfunction, medication, food allergies, oral contraceptives or steroids.
  
• SWOLLEN LYMPH NODES: - may be indicative of chronic infection, lymphoma, various cancers, toxic metals, toxic build-up or Hodgkin's disease.
  
• THIRSTING EXCESSIVELY: - may be indicative of diabetes, infection, excessive exercise or fever.

How to Install Internet Explorer 7.0 Bypassing Genuine Windows Validation...

Internet Explorer 7.0 is the long awaited tabbed web browser by Microsoft. Nearly four years after the release of Internet Explorer 6.0, in the face of growing competition from Mozilla's Firefox, Microsoft has finally given the old IE platform a facelift. Optimized design along with new cool interface, favorites centre, search box, RSS feeds and most importantly easy to use tabbed browsing are the exclusive features of this new internet explorer.

You must have Windows XP Service Pack-2 (SP2) in order to install Internet Explorer 7.0. But still you will face a problem while installing this new Internet Explorer if your copy of Windows XP is not a genuine (non-pirated) one, since IE 7.0 installation requires genuine windows validation!!! So what to do??? Don’t worry… There are some tricky steps through which you can install IE 7.0 even in your pirated copy of windows XP bypassing the genuine windows validation. You just have to follow the following steps one by one:

1. Download Internet Explorer 7.0 installer from the Microsoft site. You have to choose Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) as your operating system. Remember you can’t install IE 7.0 if service pack 2.0 is not installed in your operating system. And if you are facing genuine windows validation problem while downloading IE7 installer from the Microsoft site, can also download this installer alternatively from here or directly from here.
   
   
2. Extract the downloaded Internet Explorer setup file (IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe) using WinRAR to a directory (IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu).
   
   
3. Download the patched iecustom.dll and then copy-paste it to the update folder (IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu\update\) and click yes when asked to overwrite.
   
   
4. Now, download normaliz.exe . Then copy this exe file and paste it in your “c:\” drive.
   
   
5. Run ‘update.exe’ in the update folder (not iesetup.exe!!!). At the end, you have to choose ‘Restart Later’ (not Restart Now) option to finish the running process of the exe file.
   
   
6. Now you have to download normaliz.dll and then copy-paste it to “c:\windows\system32\” directory (in order to prevent problems with the file not being found after the installation). And then reboot/restart your pc.
   
   
7. After rebooting your pc, you may face a problem with a file called normaliz.dll that can not be found by explorer.exe. If you’re having this problem, you will find your desktop blank.(If you are not facing this problem then just go to step 8) In order to fix this problem, you have to do the following things one by one:
   
   
1. Press ctrl-alt-del to go to the task manager.
2. Go to “File -> New Task (Run…)” in the task manager.
3. Type: ‘C:\normaliz.exe’ (excluding quotation marks) in the ‘open’ field and then press the ‘ok’ button.
4. ‘WinZip Self-Extractor - normalize.exe’ window should popped up and then press the ‘unzip’ button.
5. Reboot your pc and yahoo!!! now you can see your desktop contents!!!.
   
   
8. Now you have to run ‘xmllitesetup.exe’ in the update folder. This step is very important, because somehow if you forget to run this ‘xmllitesetup.exe’ , IE 7.0 will be installed in your PC without it's toolbar!!!
   
   
9. Then reboot your pc again, run Internet Explorer…and you are done!!!
